Endangered Species Chocolate is a premium chocolate brand that donates a portion of all profits to conservation groups who support wildlife and habitats in need.

   

The Challenge

Before partnering with SupplyKick, Endangered Species Chocolate was selling directly to Amazon. They became frustrated after a poor experience when trying to work through Amazon’s shipping restriction on meltable goods from May 1st - September 30th. This restriction led to inconsistent POs and difficulty with inventory management. Because of this, Endangered Species started researching other Amazon solutions and approached SupplyKick in May of 2018.

At the same time, Endangered Species Chocolate was undergoing a rebrand, affecting all of their products, packaging, and marketing materials. Ensuring a successful launch of the new branding was a major priority for both Endangered Species Chocolate and SupplyKick.

   

The Solution

Endangered Species Chocolate chose a wholesale partnership with SupplyKick because, like Amazon, we regularly send POs with the added bonus of a simplified ordering process with a single weekly PO, fully-managed logistics, better customer service, and a dedicated team focused on platform branding.

While working to find an alternative shipping option, SupplyKick prioritized the rebrand. Due to the highly-competitive nature of the chocolate space on Amazon, our marketing team shot all new photography, and overhauled all copy, A+ content, and their storefront. We also revamped their Amazon advertising strategy with strategic targeting campaigns.

A SupplyKick Senior Brand Manager worked proactively with the Endangered Species team to ensure total alignment of expectations on both sides, with a primary focus on increasing YoY sales growth and furthering brand recognition via a successful total rebrand on Amazon.

The rebrand was considered a great success as SupplyKick maintained a high-level of customer service while exceeding sales expectations month to month, beating their plan by 32% for Q1 and Q2 of 2019.

 

The Results

After partnering with SupplyKick, Endangered Species Chocolate grew their overall sales on Amazon by 82%. Unit sales on Amazon ballooned by 103% while on-platform traffic increased by 39%, due in large part to SupplyKick's marketing and advertising optimization.
